Well, it's been a busy February. Ellie continued to enjoy her Birthday... it was more of a Birthday season. She mastered the art of blowing out candles by practicing almost every night after dinner with another treat. We were surprised this routine lasted as long as it did, especially with Mommy and Daddy singing Happy Birthday to her!
Sarah, on the otherhand, did not enjoy February as much as her big sister. She spent Valentine's Day in Children's Hospital in Denver due to RSV and dehydration. She lost 6% of her body weight in two days. We spent two nights in the hospital and then she was sent home with oxygen. She finally came off it this past Monday at her wellness visit, and she is doing much better now. She has gained back her weight and then some and is now 9 lbs. 4 oz. We are unable to measure her length due to the harness. Sarah has another ultrasound next week to look at the hip joints and if all is well, we start the last 6 week countdown of wearing the harness part time. As always, Sarah remains a very good natured baby. She has the sweetest smile. She has been doing a great job holding her head up for short periods of time and likes to follow us with her big sapphire eyes.
Ellie continues to be a wonderful big sister to Sarah. She was so sweet when Sarah was sick, stroking her face and head and kissing her little sister. Sometimes she likes to play "mommy", too, by diapering her Cabbage Patch Kids and breast feeding her chicken! It's amazing what a big girl she has become in the last year.
It's been an exciting month for us. We hope March is more relaxing! We'd also like to thank Grandma L for helping us out the week Sarah came home from the hospital. It was so nice to have you here.

We are so glad to hear that Sarah is doing better. She is so cute and has such a trusting look on her face that she must already know that her mommy, daddy and big sister are taking good care of her.
Ellie is too funny and we love hearing stories about what a great, beautiful, big sister she is.
Here's to a quiet and peaceful March.

Cute pictures, and I am really glad that Sarah is doing much better. She is really cute with those big eyes. I know it has been a long two months, but it is only two months and hopefully March will be easy. Ellie is really cute too and Feb. birthdays are the best. She should enjoy it all month long. She is a special little girl. When are you coming east? Can't wait to see you all. Love Grandma Tuesy
