Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, Happy 2012, and Congratulations!

Happy 2012, everyone! We hope you enjoy the menagerie of photos to follow. There are some from Ellie and Sarah's school parties, pizza making, and Christmas. We had a really nice time with Grandma, Papa and the rest of the Wyoming crew! We had a small party for Sarah's 4th birthday- thank you to all who were there to celebrate with us, and especially to Grandma Teri for the yummy cake! The girls had a blast sledding in the mountains with their cousins. It was a really great trip. Congratulations to Kelly and Alicia on their engagements and to Missy and Becky for their quick recovery!

The end of 2011!

Well, before we can put up any Christmas pics, better get the last of 2011 up! Below are some pics of Grandma Edna and Papa Vic's visit in November, our hike up Mt. Sanitas on a beautiful, warm, November day, and Ellie losing her first tooth! Happy 2012 to everyone, hope the holidays were good to all of you!

Frolicking Fall

We're trying to get caught up on fall pictures. Last month, Sarah's preschool had a party and a parade. The theme was Cultures Around the World. As you can see, her class celebrated Jamaica- check out the dreads! The children went from class to class to look at the attire worn by the people of each country, and sample some ethnic foods from there as well. Sarah's teachers were impressed with her desire to try all of the foods- even the 'purple stuff,' as they called it (red cabbage).

It has been a really warm Fall, except for today! 9 inches or more of snow.....but you can see the girls enjoying the warm weather at Waneka Lake with their BFF's, Maeve and Clara.

The annual pumpkin patch pics are included, as is a nice dinner with Ellie and Sarah's former daycare provider, Miss Judy and her husband Jerry. We went out to show our appreciation for what a great job she did taking care of both girls. We will miss them, but hope to get together from time to time.

And last, but not least, a prelude to Halloween.......

pics below-

Balloon Festival!

In September, the girls went to Snowmass with some friends for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. While the weather didn't cooperate on Saturday (for the morning balloon take off), we still managed to have a great time in the village, on the gondola, and in the hot tub! The skies improved in the evening for the lighting of the balloons. It was very pretty. The girls had fun wrestling with their friend CJ and dancing to the live music! On the way home, we went through Independence Pass and stopped off for a short hike.

Alot of Firsts!

Well, here you have it....
Ellie's first (and second) day of Kindergarten, Sarah's first day of preschool, and our first concert in over 5 years! Ellie is doing great in school and loves everything about it. She is a little sponge. It's fun to see how quickly she is learning. Sarah is the talk of Primrose. We have been told that she is a good helper in her class and a great eater! Seems that one of her classmates, Blake, thinks she's the bomb. I heard they gave each other a big hug and held hands on the way to class this morning....YIKES!

We had a good time at the Phish concert Labor Day weekend. One of our good friends from NY was out to experience all the great sights, sounds, and scents of the Phish followers with us. It was an awsome 3 days of music and friends. More to come soon....promise!

Vedauwoo '11

We made a quick trip back to Vedauwoo this month. The girls love camping in this area- they never get tired of climbing around on the rock formations! (although they're starting to make us a little nervous with some of their recent 'daredevil' tricks)

** One Week left before Ellie starts Kindergarten**

River Rats

Here are some pics from one of our trips to the Poudre Canyon this summer. As always, the girls had a blast playing and picnicking at the river.

There are also some pics of the girls with their extended family. It was just a short visit, but we packed alot in and had loads of fun. We hope they come to visit again soon!
