NY in July

We went to NY again this July to visit with friends and family. It was a fun trip, and packed tight with lots of things. We celebrated Little Grandma and Great Papa's 65th wedding anniversary- Congratulations to them both. They are a loving couple and we can all learn so much from them. We are so glad that Little Grandma is getting better every day and Great Papa is doing a great job taking care of her. We were also fortunate to spend alot of time w/ Grandma Nonnie. It was quite hot and humid so we went swimming in her pool and enjoyed some nice meals with her. Victoria and Sophia joined us there and Grandma Nonnie really enjoyed having them all together.

We took a short boat ride up the canal along the Hudson River on one of the hottest days we were there- we were able to learn some interesting things about the area Andy and I grew up in. Ellie and Sarah spent a few days going to camp with their cousins, Victoria and Sophia and had a blast- they swam in the pond, fished for marbles, played with some bunnies and frogs, and went on a few short hikes. Thanks for those who helped arrange things and for making the girls welcome.

We met up with Michelle, Rob, Rachel, and Nick for some swimming and reminiscing one day. Thanks for lunch and taking part of you day to be with us. It was quite humorous to watch the kids driving around in the tractor. We also spent a short time with the King family, Al, and Jackie. Sarah put on her best act in an effort to make everyone laugh and both girls had fun dancing with and catching fireflies!

One very special part of our trip was meeting the newest member of our family, baby Jack! He is such a cutie. Ellie liked to hold him and fed him once for Aunt Lisa. Andie Lynn came with us on the Hudson River boat ride. We met up with her and baby Jack for some circus fun, too! We had great seats at the circus....so close that aunt Lisa got sprayed by the tiger! Good thing it wasn't Uncle Andrew, because he was recovering from a leg injury and would not have been able to move very quickly!

A special thanks to Aunt Diane, Grandma Edna, and Papa Vic for your time, cars, food, and effort to help make our trip a good one! We look forward to seeing you all again soon...maybe in Denver area this time?
