Recap from our trip to NY...
We survived another quick trip to NY to visit friends and family, but it took us until today to fully recover! As always, we have a lot of people we'd like to visit with, and we never seem to have enough time to see everyone. Ellie didn't really get to nap the whole time we were there, except the few minutes of shuteye she got in the car between visits. Amazingly, she didn't sleep at all on the flights back and by the time we arrived back in Denver, she had gone total 'Zombie Mode.' -- she was still awake but she had the seven-mile stare and had completely stopped blinking.
All in all, though, it was a worthwhile trip. Ellie spent time visiting with her Great Grandma E, Great Grandma D, and Great Grandparents L, as well as a host of other Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc. She hit it off instantly with her first cousin Victoria, sharing her toys and even a bath! Ellie was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Thomas the Train although she spent the majority of the time chasing her second cousin Harper and eating her blueberries and french fries. She learned to drink from a straw thanks to the cool cup from Aunt Sue. Ellie was happy to spend a few minutes with some other friends as well, including Rachel, the Leonard girls, and of course, her boyfriend Alex. We were happy to meet Lisa's parents for the first time and look forward to seeing them again in Nov. It was nice to be able to visit with Lori, Logan, and Eddie Joe as well. There's a lot more to tell you, but it's getting late. Until next time....
