Happy New Year!
OK, we're back! Greetings from Colorado. We are very happy to be here and we're ready to start having some fun, but it was sad to leave behind some friends in Washington. We stopped by for a last visit with Rae and Clarkie. It was hard to say good bye. They were like family to us and we couldn't have been luckier to have stumbled upon them. We also spent some time with the Bryan and Haigh families. Ellie will definitely miss Hannah, Lauren, Zach and Sam. I'd personally like to thank Marie and Mindy for their help in the end. Marie came to visit on packing day and brought me a much needed coffee and some sweets. Mindy loaned us her vacuum cleaner on the last day was some piece of mind for me. Thanks for that big hug and witty smile! I miss you already.
The trip to WY from WA went surprisingly well. Ellie had fun playing peek-a-boo with Grandma Luskin and watching her new DVD player. Even Floyd did better this time around. We had Ellie's first real Christmas in Wyoming...what a great place to spend it! She opened lots of presents and was really into the tinsel on the tree. That's where the knee walk started. It was her cute, inconspicuous way of getting closer to the tree, little by little. She got may new gifts of toys and clothes, but her favorites are by far the 'horse-in-the-box', the shopping cart, and the gingerbread man cookie tray game thingy. We had fun seeing the Wyoming clan, including cousin Otto again. He is such a chunk at 7.5 mo - he weighs more than Ellie does now! We also celebrated Andy's 33rd Birthday. I've never kissed a man that old before.....eeewwwwww! That reminds me, someone else has a birthday coming soon....I wonder who it could be?????
Ellie has started doing alot of new things lately. We have really enjoyed spending so much time with her, but more on that later. Before I forget...the date of Andrew and Lisa's Wedding will be November 3rd! We are looking forward to it!
