Pink Monsters for Halloween....
Ellie really enjoyed Halloween this year. She's always been fond of the pumpkins and jack-O-lanterns but previously has been pretty timid around scary costumes and decorations. This year was different, though. Almost every day she would tell us that she wanted to be something different for Halloween- purple monster, witch, scary skeleton, pirate, dog, frog, Mickey Mouse. We finally settled on the pink monsters from her favorite "Mahna Mahna" Muppets skit -see Sept. 17th post below. Grandma Edna did a stellar job making costumes for Ellie, Sarah, and Mom that looked just like the Muppet Monsters. Thanks Grandma E! Ellie got the hang of 'trick-or-treating' after the first house....as soon as she realized that candy was the tasty reward for knocking on the doors. She can't wait for next year.

the pictures are fabulous. i missed andy, though. i wanted to hear him sing. maybe later? let us know when you head east, again, and we can meet up, so Harper can play with Ellie. Love you ALL.
